I love the beginning of a New Year. It always feels like another chance to take stock of the year prior, examine the good and the bad, reflect and move in a positive direction.
Over the holidays we tend to indulge ourselves. Which is what makes the holidays so great! I usually don’t stick to a schedule, or a diet for that matter and I think that by allowing myself to enjoy the moments and not hold back on the indulgences, I’m better equipped to call it quits when January rolls around.
But, January is here now. It’s time to roll up my sleeves and regroup. This year I will be turning 40! Ah! And if any of you have seen the new “This is 40” movie, I can totally relate! I will also be marking my 20th wedding anniversary. Whew! I hope that 2013 is kind to me.
Something I’ve noticed a lot lately, following the social media musings of Facebook and Twitter, is that there are a great number of business “experts” telling people how to be successful, how to improve this or that aspect of themselves or their business.
Now, I do agree that growth is important, however, I can’t help but think…aren’t I the expert? Don’t I know myself the best? Don’t I know what’s best for my business? And the answer is…YES! I do! There is nobody better equipped to bring me joy and happiness going forward in life (and business) than little ‘ol me!
So, great! I’ve just determined that I’m amazing. But, wait a sec. How can I maintain “amazing” in all facets of my career and home life? Alright, I guess I might need to filter some of that social media information to fine tune some aspects that might say…take some seriously unattended tasks off my to-do list so that I can continue to be simply amazing and not simply stressed out!
Just like you, I am the head of my business, coordinator of chaos in life and I too need help to keep doing what it is that I do best.
If you are interested in bringing some peace to your chaotic life, consider building in an Administrative Consultant to your organisation. I will work with you to understand your business and grow the vision you have for your future. I cannot express enough the difference in building a relationship with your Administrative Consultant in contrast to simply hiring an employee. My passion is helping you achieve success by supporting you while enabling you to continue to do what you do best…be amazing!
Here’s a toast to the New Year, new beginnings and I wish you nothing but success in 2013!
